PKM 2022: Module Preparation Training According to the Merdeka curriculum for Biology Teachers in Mojokerto City
Community Service (PKM) is a routine activity carried out by the UNESA academic community every year. This year, the PKM activity from the Biology Education Master Programme, Postgraduate - UNESA brought the topic of Module Preparation Training according to the Independent curriculum for Biology Teachers in Mojokerto City which was carried out by several lecturers in the Biology Education Master Programme: Dr. Yuliani, M.Sc., Dr. Raharjo, M.Sc., Prof. Endang Susantini, M.Pd., Dr. Widowati Budijastuti, M.Si, Dr. Sunu Kuntjoro, M.Sc., and Firas Khaleyla, S.Si., M.Sc. This PKM activity was carried out twice, online and offline.
The first activity carried out was providing material online via zoom with a total of 19 teachers from MGMP IPA-Biologi on August 4, 2022. This activity was opened with remarks from MGMP representatives from the Bima Diya Agustina group from SMPN 1 Mojokerto and representatives from the Biology Education Master Study Programme. Postgraduate, UNESA Dr Yuliani, M.Sc. This online lectures was filled by each member of the PKM team with specific topics such as the topic of the independent curriculum by Dr. Raharjo, M.Sc., profile of Pancasila students by Dr. Sunu Kuntjoro, M.Sc., Components in writing teaching modules by Dr. Widowati Budijastuti, M.Sc., principles and preparation of teaching modules by Prof. Endang Susantini, M.Pd, ATP and biology teaching module by Dr. Yuliani, M.Sc., and assignment and evaluation by Firas Khaleyla, S.Si., M.Sc.
The activity then continued with an offline PKM team visit on September 3, 2022. The agenda of this activity began with the signing of a collaboration between Unesa and the Mojokerto City Government, especially with the Mojokerto City IPA MGMP conducted at the Mojokerto City Education and Culture Office. The signing was also attended by the Director of Postgraduate Prof. Dr. Wasis, M.Si.
The second agenda is the provision of reviews and improvements to teaching modules based on the independent curriculum as a result of assignments to participants offline at SMPN 1 Mojokerto City. The second agenda was initiated by presentations from the participants regarding the assignment of teaching modules and the provision of reviews and input from Prof. Endang Susantini, M.Pd. Then followed by the provision of material on meaningful understanding and lighter questions by Dr. Raharjo, M. Si and explanation of the concept by Dr. Sunu Kuntjoro, M.Si. This activity was closed by a group photo with the PKM training participants. The PKM team hopes that this activity can help participants to understand more deeply about the Merdeka Learning curriculum and be able to develop teaching modules.
